Students learn about the Constitution, government, history, and geography of the United States in preparation for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) required oral interview and exam. The class also familiarizes students with requirements and exclusions for citizenship.

CITZ 7001 U.S. Citizenship Interview Preparation

This course is designed as an addition to the citizenship preparation course. Citizenship applicants must pass a face-to-face interview with an immigration officer in order to qualify for citizenship. In this course, topics will cover the N-400 application questions and how to answer them. Students will practice basic English conversational skills, as well as key definitions of the words used in the application.
