Award Type: Associate in Arts
The associate degree program in chemistry prepares students to begin upper-division work leading to a baccalaureate degree in chemistry or chemical engineering. It also provides some of the support courses required for the baccalaureate degree.The graduate of the Associate in Arts in Chemistry will:
- Demonstrate mastery of the approach and rationale of the scientific method and be able to apply these principles to solve problems
- Demonstrate mastery of stoichiometric calculations.
- Demonstrate mastery of laboratory technique.
