Apprenticeship Training
Apprenticeship courses are designed for indentured apprentices whereby students supplement on-the-job training with related classroom instruction during each year of apprenticeship. Joint Apprenticeship Committees administering each program are composed of representation from labor, management, California State Division of Apprenticeship Standards, and a local education agencies like Allan Hancock College. These committees adopt state approved standards for operation, including eligibility and selection of apprentices, and assure equal opportunity for applicants.
A variety of apprenticeship courses listed in this catalog meet the primary objectives for indentured apprenticeship programs.
These courses are limited to state-registered apprentices or those awaiting indenture. They may not be taken on a pass/no pass basis, nor may credit be obtained by examination. For specific information, students should contact the academic affairs dean's office at 805-922-6966 ext. 3261.
