Film and Video Production
Award Type: Certificate of Achievement
The Film and Video program prepares students for a wide variety of positions in the motion picture broadcast industries. Students write, produce and edit narrative and documentary projects in a series of courses designed to bring students from beginning through intermediate production and post-production technique. All courses provide students access to the latest in digital production and post-production technology. In addition, students learn to critically interpret motion pictures through a series of courses in film history and aesthetics.The graduate of the Certificate of Achievement in Film and Video Production will:
- Utilize camera, sound, editing and lighting equipment in a professional capacity.
- Write compelling narrative stories in proper screenplay format and structure.
- Apply analysis and critical evaluation to cinematic works through discourse and writing.
