The Associate in Science in Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) program is a comprehensive program providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in EH&S roles across various sectors, including industry, government agencies, agriculture, and more. The program emphasizes the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate environmental and occupational hazards, promoting a culture of safety and sustainability.

The graduate of the Associate in Science in Environmental Health & Safety will:

  • Describe the major laws and regulations governing environmental health and safety at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Recognize and classify different types of hazards including chemical, physical and biological.
  • Discuss strategies and techniques for mitigating environmental and occupational risk.
  • Examine impacts of human activities on natural resouces.
