Communication Skills for Public Service Professionals

This program is designed for individuals currently working in the public service or civic engagement sectors as well as students planning to enter those sectors by providing foundational concepts to enhance one's overall communication abilities. Students in this program will learn how to establish relationships, mitigate conflict, articulate their ideas effectively, and gain confidence and skill in a variety of communication situations. Course work will also prepare students majoring in Communication Studies for transfer.The graduate of the Certificate of Achievement in Communication Skills for Public Service Professionals will:
- Demonstrate knowledge of communication theories.
